DOUGLAS OHI LLC.
is a joint venture Omani-British Company established in 1981 to carry
out construction projects in the Sultanate. The Omani partners are Oman
Holdings International SAOG, and the British counterpart is the
Interserve PLC Group, (formerly Tilbury Douglas) a long established and
reputed construction and support services group listed on the London
Stock Exchange. |

During its 24 years of
trading, Douglas OHI has a variety of civil and building projects to its
credit. Since 1990 the Company ventured into oilfield activities
throughout the interior of the country. The spread and remoteness of the
locations in which the work has been carried out has resulted in sound
safety and quality systems.
Douglas OHI has a track record second to none on power station construction having been substantially involved in the civil and building works on 4 of the Sultanate’s 5 Independent Power Projects. The Company also carried out the design and construction of all the buildings on the Sohar Refinery Project. The Company’s Quality Management System received ISO 9001 accreditation in March 1996 and in May 2003 obtained certification to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 for its Environmental and Safety Management Systems respectively
